A developer has filed plans to move forward with building 35 new homes in the Center Grove area.
M/I Homes has filed plans to expand The Enclave at Harrison Cross subdivision, on the west side of Peterman Road, just north of Smith Valley Road. Previously built homes in the subdivision ranged in price from $200,000 to $350,000.
The planned expansion must meet approval of a technical review committee, the county drainage board and the Johnson County Board of Commissioners before construction can begin, Johnson County Planning Engineer Allen Kirk said.
If approved, construction likely would begin next spring, he said.
The plans are for the northern section of the subdivision on the west side of Peterman Road. The developer has built 22 homes in the southern section, which includes 39 lots. And on the east side of Peterman Road, 15 homes have been built in a section with 41 lots, with another section remaining undeveloped.
M/I homes is developing another subdivision, Sanctuary at Harrison Crossing, on the northeast side of Smith Valley and Peterman roads.
