Company to test healthy workplace program

Follow Daily Journal:

One Click Ventures in Greenwood has been selected by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to participate in the National Healthy Worksite Program.

The new program helps employers reduce chronic disease and build a healthier workforce. Employers voluntarily applied for the program and were chosen by the agency based on interest and industry diversity.

The company will implement science-based disease prevention and wellness strategies, such as tobacco cessation counseling, nutrition counseling and education, weight management counseling and worksite farmers markets or healthy foods offerings in the office.

At the end of the program, a national evaluation will show best practices and models on how to successfully implement health initiatives in small businesses more broadly.
