A scrappy Greenwood team kept pace with Class 4A No. 5 Columbus North early in Tuesday’s girls basketball contest, but Bull Dogs backcourt mates Tayler Goodall and Paige Littrell made sure the host Woodmen didn’t pull the upset.

Greenwood trailed 16-14 at the end of the first quarter despite playing without senior starting guard Sydney Hite, who missed the game with the flu.

Over the next two quarters, Goodall and Littrell combined to drain six 3-pointers and hit 10 overall. Columbus North used 9-0 and 7-0 second-quarter runs and an 18-2 third-quarter spurt to take control and cruise past Greenwood 67-48.
