Franklin College has hired a Chicago-based firm to help search for candidates to become the next college president.
The 12-member search committee, made up of board of trustees members, alumni, administrators and faculty, selected Witt/Kieffer of Oak Brook, Illinois, for the search.
The firm will work with committee members to develop a list of traits they want in a new president, then the company will search nationwide for suitable candidates.
Current President James “Jay” Moseley announced he will retire next summer after 12 years leading the college.
Committee members hope to have a recommendation for Moseley’s successor by February.
Witt/Kieffer helps locate leaders for colleges and universities, nonprofit organizations, hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers and other mission-driven organizations.
