College group raising funds for animal shelter

Follow Daily Journal:

Franklin College students are raising money and awareness for homeless animals at the Johnson County Animal Shelter.

The shelter, 2160 Graham Road in Franklin, will offer half-priced adoptions on many dogs and waive adoption fees on selected cats from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 1.

That day, students from the college will be at the shelter to give tours and answer questions about the facility and animal control. The students also are organizing a supply donation drive that will benefit the shelter.

The shelter is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
