More than 300 administrators, bus drivers and other staff who work for Clark-Pleasant schools are getting raises.
The school board unanimously approved a 2.75 percent pay increase for about 20 administrators, and a 2 percent increase for bus drivers, custodians and other nonteaching staff.
This is the first raise administrators, including principals, assistant principals and student deans, have had since the 2008-09 school year, Superintendent Patrick Spray said. Administrators can only get the raise if they received scores of effective or highly effective on their annual evaluations. Administrators’ salaries can range from $61,650 to $114,566 per year.
Nonteaching staff, who make anywhere from $10.44 per hour to $60,000 per year depending on their position, receive annual raises of between 2.5 percent and 3 percent. This raise will increase the base pay for those positions, Spray said.
Most teachers, who negotiate their contracts with the school district separately, qualify for pay increases of between 2.75 percent and 3.25 percent if they receive effective or highly effective ratings on their annual evaluations, Spray said.
