A hole at a Franklin intersection has quickly grown in size since city officials spotted it a few weeks ago.
The hole started as the size of a saucer but has become the size of a wading pool at Schoolhouse and Lochry roads, where the road has started to sink.
A storm sewer line collapsed, causing the road to sink, and city officials are making plans to fix the line and the road, Franklin street commissioner Ron Collins said.
No timeline is set for the project, but the city is hiring an engineer for the work, Collins said.
