A Nineveh resident was arrested late Tuesday night after a police chase that reached speeds of more than 90 mph.
Zeke Sizemore, 21, was arrested on a charge of fleeing with a vehicle. He had been traveling southbound on Nineveh Road and going 18 mph over the speed limit at about 10:45 p.m. When a police car turned its lights on and started to follow him, he sped up, turned west on County Road 700S and turned off his lights to hide from the officer, according to the police report.
The officer caught up with Sizemore, who stopped and said he was scared of being arrested for drunken driving. He had a blood alcohol level of 0.65 percent at the time of the arrest, the report said.
Sizemore, 8672 S. Ayres Drive, was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was released on $3,000 bond.
