Murder charges have been filed against three people in connection with an explosion that killed two people, including a Greenwood teacher.
Monserrate Shirley, her boyfriend, Mark Leonard, and his brother, Robert Leonard, were taken into custody this morning, Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said.
Each is facing two counts of murder charges and 45 counts of arson. Mark Leonard and Shirley are also charged with conspiracy to commit arson.
Jennifer and John Longworth were killed in the Nov. 10 explosion. They lived next to the home owed by Shirley.
Authorities said a microwave was used to detonate the explosion in the Shirley home.
