Center Grove’s technology director is leaving to take a job at Indiana University.
Julie Bohnenkamp, who joined Center Grove in 2007, will take over as the university’s director of learning spaces for university information technology services in late May. That job will involve creating a plan for how technology will be used at the university in the future, a Center Grove news release said.
Most recently, Bohnenkamp oversaw Center Grove’s iPad project, which provided the devices to all Center Grove High School students. Eighth-graders will receive the devices next school year, too.
Center Grove will start looking for a new technology director immediately, the news release said.
“While this is a tremendous opportunity for Julie, it is a huge loss for Center Grove,” Superintendent Richard Arkanoff said in the news release. “Under her leadership, innovation has become a part of our culture. She has set us up to be hugely desirable to potential candidates.”
