Center Grove is seeking residents interested in serving on the school board.
The school district has 30 days to fill the school board seat of Susan Mullendore, who died this week after a battle with cancer.
Residents have less than two weeks to apply for the school board seat. Any residents interested in applying for the seat should submit a letter of interest by 4:30 p.m. Feb. 21 with their qualifications and their reasons for wanting to serve, a news release said.
The school board will have a special session on Feb. 28 to conduct interviews with candidates. The meeting will be open to the public. The board plans to name a replacement by March 7, and the new board member would serve the remainder of the term through Dec. 31, 2014, the release said.
Letters of interest should be sent to Jack Russell, board president, by mail at CGCSC, 4800 W. Stones Crossing Road, Greenwood, IN 46143; by fax at 881-0241; or by email at email@example.com.
