Cash, phone taken from home during forced entry

Follow Daily Journal:

Cash and a phone were stolen from a Franklin man after two people forced their way into his home.

The resident, who lives in the 800 block of Old U.S. 31, was home at noon Monday when a man and a woman knocked on his front door.

The woman started yelling, and when the resident threatened to call police, she knocked the phone out of his hand and shoved him back.

The pair then forced their way into the home and started hitting the resident, according to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.

The man held the resident down on the floor while the woman took his wallet and cash.

The man also took the resident’s cellphone before leaving, the report said.
