Event focuses on building leadership

Business leaders, human re­source professionals, chamber of commerce officials and members are invited to attend 2011 Refresh Leadership Live on May 18.

The event will feature Peyton Manning, business expert and former NBA player Walter Bond and motivational speaker Ken Blanchard.

Hosted by Express Employment Professionals of Greenwood, the event will begin at 9 a.m. Free breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.

Two join inpatient pediatrics team

Dr. Sheryl King and Cheri Pfahler joined the inpatient pediatric team at Community Hospital South.

King is the director of inpatient pediatrics. She received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at Indiana University Medical Center. She has practiced at Bloomington Hospital and Old Schoolhouse Pediatrics in Bargersville.

Pfahler, registered respiratory therapist, earned a degree in allied health from Indiana University and a bachelor of science degree in organizational leadership from Indiana Tech. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, she served as clinical coordinator of respiratory care for women’s and children’s services at Franciscan/St. Francis Health.

Sears’ Franklin store honored by company

Sears Hometown Store in Franklin was named a 2011 Sears Hometown Store Premier Dealer.

The annual award recognizes 20 percent of Sears Hometown Stores that offer great customer service, outstanding store performance and standards and exceptional demonstrations of local community involvement, according to a news release from the company.

The Franklin store is at 1866 Northwood Plaza.

Home video store offers transfers, keepsakes

Home Video Studio has opened at Main Street and U.S. 31 in Greenwood.

Services include the creation of photo video keepsakes, video to DVD transfers, home movie transfers, video duplication, video editing, sports or fine arts scholarship videos and more.

The Greenwood store is the only storefront studio in Indiana.
