Blood drive aimed at boosting state supply

Follow Daily Journal:

This week’s winter storm depleted blood supplies at the Indiana Blood Center, and donors are needed.

Centers throughout central Indiana are hosting blood drives this weekend to encourage people to donate blood.

Donors can give blood from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. today or 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the southside center, 8739 S. U.S. 31, or at the Indianapolis center, 3450 N. Meridian St.

Donors will get Colts memorabilia, including posters, while supplies last, according to a news release from the center.

Appointments can be made at indianablood.org or by calling 800-632-4722 or 916-5150.
