Four people suspected of committing a crime in Johnson County were detained in Columbus with the help of the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department received a call at 3:20 p.m. about a vehicle that could have been used in a Johnson County incident, said Maj. Todd Noblitt, spokesman for the sheriff's department.
At about 3:36 p.m., Sgt. Jim Stevens observed a vehicle southbound on I-65 that seemed to match the description. Stevens and Deputy Terrance Holderness conducted a traffic stop on I-65 and State Road 46, on the west side of Columbus, and four subjects were detained.
BCSD contacted the Franklin Police Department, and two officers responded to the scene. The subjects were taken to the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department, where Franklin police were interviewing them.
As of 7 p.m., no arrests had been made.
