A Bargersville man was injured and the driver of the car that hit him was arrested Sunday night.
Troy Parker, 51, had stopped his motorcycle at a stoplight on U.S. 31 at the Main Street intersection in Franklin when a car hit him from behind, according to a police report.
The driver of the car, James Showecker, 36, of Greenwood, had a blood-alcohol content of 0.31 percent, almost four times the legal limit to be considered too intoxicated to drive, the report said.
Showecker, 1921 S. Meridian St., was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, operating while intoxicated endangerment and reckless driving. He was released on $3,000 bond.
Parker told police he was hit from behind and couldn’t remember anything else, the report said.
He was taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital for treatment. His condition was not available Monday.
