To the editor:

My compliments on the stories about (Center Grove) Coach (Eric) Moore — an excellent job. They are right on and well-deserved on all fronts.

One thing that I would like to add that has served as the building block for his program is the Center Grove Bantam Football League.

Coach Moore has done an outstanding job of working with the league to integrate his football system into the program. At the second-grade level (even before with flag football) with tackle football, all the teams start running his system. As the players advance to a higher grade level, more of the system is added. So by the time these football players reach the middle school level they are well versed in the Moore system.

I know I have oversimplified this, but at least you get the idea and can see how this approach pays huge dividends later.

Coach Moore can be seen at many of the games and has taken the time to meet many of the players, so from a very early age these kids are invested in the Center Grove program.

Truly these kids can’t wait to play football for Center Grove and Coach Moore. It doesn’t get any better than that. Job very well done.
