Two teenagers broke into a home and stole a lockbox, papers and football jerseys, according to police.
Richard Arlan Bright, 18, of 344 Shady Brook Heights, Greenwood, was arrested on a charge of burglary. A juvenile also was arrested on a charge of burglary, Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox said.
The break-in took place between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the Friendly Village mobile home community, according to a police report. A resident called police to report that someone broke in and stole a lockbox and two Peyton Manning jerseys. The home had a security camera, and the resident recognized a person who forced his way in through a window, the report said.
Bright told police that he stole two boxes and had a lookout, the report said. The residents got back paperwork that was kept in the lockbox, but police have not found the Denver Broncos jerseys.
Bright is being held at the Johnson County jail on $8,000 bond. The minor was either taken to Johnson County Juvenile Detention or released to a parent or guardian, Cox said.
