Southbound lanes of Interstate 65 were closed for about an hour between Whiteland and Franklin on Wednesday morning because of a jackknifed truck blocking the road.
The driver lost control of his truck during heavy rain and high wind and jackknifed into a ditch around 6:30 a.m., Indiana State Police spokesman Cpl. Duane Randall said. The driver was not injured.
Police closed both southbound lanes until about 7:45 a.m. while crews worked to get the truck back onto the road. The truck was not damaged and was able to drive away after the accident, Randall said.
Traffic on U.S. 31 was heavier through Franklin during the morning rush hour because vehicles were being diverted off the interstate.
