Four teenagers were arrested during a traffic stop after police found they had been drinking.
Austin D. Fettig, 19, Noblesville, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and possession of alcohol by a minor. Zachary P. Cohen, 19, Carmel,
Michael R. Kurson, 18, of Newton, Mass., and Yannick A. Schaefer, 19, of Wayland, Mass., were arrested on charges of possession of alcohol by a minor.
A Johnson County sheriff’s deputy saw a vehicle going 73 mph in a 55 mph zone near State Road 37 and Olive Branch Road at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, a sheriff’s office report said.
The deputy stopped the car, smelled alcohol and did breath tests on all four occupants. Fettig’s blood-alcohol content was .10 percent. Cohen and Kurson had a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent, and Schaefer had a blood-alcohol content of .10 percent, the report said.
Fettig, 6658 Pennan Court, was taken to the Johnson County jail and released on $2,000 bond. Cohen, 1343 Bentley Way, was released on $1,000 bond; and Kurson, 54 Valentine Park, and Schaefer, 28 York Road, were taken to the jail and held on $1,000 bond each.
