School board members and administrators from around the state, including representatives from the Center Grove Community School Corp., attended the Indiana School Boards Association regional meeting March 17 at The Inn at DePauw in Greencastle.
The regional meetings are conducted to acquaint board members and superintendents with newly enacted legislation.
Exemplary, master and outstanding school boards in the ISBA’s Certification Awards Program also were recognized. The program recognizes
individual board members and school boards for their voluntary participation in ISBA and other school board training activities. Carol Tumey, Center Grove board vice president, and Jack Russell, a board member, received lapel pins to signify their attainment of Level 3 and Master level awards.
Others from Center Grove who attended the meeting were Adam Norman, board secretary, and Rich Arkanoff, superintendent.
