• 400 block of South Main Street: Police responded at 1:44 p.m. Monday to a report of battery.

• Criminal mischief

• 3000 block of R.J. Parkway: Police responded at 8:01 a.m. Monday to a report of a damaged vehicle.

• Thefts

• Walmart, 2125 N. Morton St.: Police responded at 7:39 p.m. Monday to a report of shoplifting. A woman was arrested on charges of theft and drug possession.

• Meijer, 150 Marlin Drive: Police responded at 11:15 p.m. Monday to a report of shoplifting. A woman was issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of conversion.

• 7200 block of West Division Road: Police responded at noon Monday to a report of a stolen cellphone and $75 in cash.

• The following people recently were arrested and booked into the Johnson County jail:

• Johnathan Keith Schmittling, 18, 250 Whiteland Road, Whiteland; arrested on a charge of battery; held on $2,000 bond.

• Jacob Everett James Phillips, 20, 1101 Warwick Road, New Whiteland; arrested on a charge of domestic battery; held on $6,000 bond.

• Ginger M. Cotten, 25, 3156 Clary Crossing, Apt. G, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of battery; released on $1,000 bond.

• Margaret Allane Burton, 28, 603 S. Kyle St., Edinburgh; arrested on charges of probation revocation, theft or receiving stolen property, possession of cocaine, narcotics or methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia; held without bond.

• Shaquille D. McLin, 21, 3156 Clary Crossing, Apt. G, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of battery; released on $1,000 bond.

• Cameron B. Anderson, 25, 228 Sheffield Drive, Bloomington; arrested on a charge of fraud and on a warrant for failing to appear in court; held on $8,000 bond.

• Nickolas C. Berrones, 20, 1978 Red Oak Drive, Franklin; arrested on a charge of possession, consumption or transportation of alcohol by a minor; released on $1,000 bond.
