Franklin

• Battery

• 100 block of Breckenridge Street: Police responded at 3:23 p.m. Thursday to a report of a man battering another man, causing facial swelling. One of the men was arrested on a charge of battery.

Burglary

• 100 block of Williamsburg Lane: Police responded at 4 p.m. Thursday to a report of attempted burglary. A garage door had been forced open and damaged. Nothing appeared to be missing at the time of the report.

Criminal mischief

• 4000 block of Magnolia Drive: Police responded at 11:23 p.m. Thursday to a report of criminal mischief. A window was broken at a home under construction.

• 400 block of North Main Street: Police responded at 9:20 a.m. Thursday to a report of someone prying off the front of three mailboxes.

Domestic disturbance

• Applebee’s, 700 N. Morton St.: Police responded at 9:42 a.m. Thursday to a report of a domestic dispute between a man and a woman. A woman had marks on her neck. The man was arrested on charges of domestic battery and interfering with reporting a crime.

Fraud

• Goodwill, 1530 N. Morton St.: Police responded at 11:27 a.m. Thursday to a report of someone receiving a call demanding a fraudulent debt to be paid over the phone.

Thefts

• 500 block of Pelenor Drive: Police responded at 6:50 p.m. Thursday to a report of theft.

• Kohl’s, 415 Mallory Parkway: Police responded at 6:34 p.m. Thursday to a report of shoplifting $101 worth of merchandise. A man was arrested on a charge of theft.

• Euphoria, 425 E. Jefferson St.: Police responded at 9:51 a.m. Thursday to a report of medication stolen from a vehicle.

Property-damage accident

• 12:29 p.m. Thursday — 2125 N. Morton St.

• Battery

• 2000 block of Hurley Street: Police responded at 6:38 p.m. Thursday to a report of a fight between two men. Both were arrested.

• 900 block of Ellington Circle: Police responded at 4:36 p.m. Thursday to a report of battery outside a residence.

• Wildflowers Salon, 1251 U.S. 31 North: Police responded at 4:17 p.m. Thursday to a report of battery.

Burglary

• 5900 block of Honey Creek Road: Police responded at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday to a report of burglary.

• 400 block of Southgate Drive: Police responded at 4:08 p.m. Wednesday to a report of an attempted residential burglary.

Criminal mischief

• 2500 block of Santa Anita Drive: Police responded at 9:57 p.m. Thursday to a report of theft and criminal mischief to a motor vehicle.

• 800 block of Dover Drive: Police responded at 5:24 p.m. Wednesday to a report of someone forcing open a front door.

Thefts

• Kohl’s, 550 Fry Road: Police responded at 7:53 p.m. Thursday to a report of a fleeing shoplifter. A man was arrested on charges of theft and resisting law enforcement.

• Kohl’s, 550 Fry Road: Police responded at 3:44 p.m. Thursday to a report of theft. A juvenile was arrested on a charge of conversion.

• Walmart, 1133 N. Emerson Ave.: Police responded at 3:19 p.m. Thursday to a report of theft.

• MAC Experience, 1251 U.S. 31 North: Police responded at 2:24 p.m. Thursday to a report of theft.

• Scarborough Lane and Dover Drive: Police responded at 11:34 a.m. Thursday to a report of theft from a trailer at Westminster Apartments.

• Greenwood Park Mall parking lot, 1251 U.S. 31 North: Police responded at 8:44 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a window broken out of a car and items taken.

• Sears, 1251 U.S. 31 North: Police responded at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday to a report of theft. A man was arrested on charges of theft and possession of a controlled substance.

• Starbucks, 311 S. State Road 135: Police responded at 3:46 p.m. Wednesday to a report of two trimmers stolen from a trailer.

Personal-injury accident

• U.S. 31 and Loews Boulevard — 6:52 p.m. Wednesday: Sarah K. Tahmoush, 21, Greenwood; Jessica S. Heiden, 31, Indianapolis, reported head pain.

Property-damage accident

• 7:53 p.m. Wednesday — State Road 135 and Menards Drive

• 3000 block of Santiago Drive: Police responded at 3:36 p.m. Thursday to a report of identity theft.

• Robin Winslow Vehling, 62, 1316 Yellowstone Circle, Franklin; arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct; released on $1,000 bond.

• Shelbi Leigh Pirtle, 21, 2071 E. Benjamin St., Apt. 2, Franklin; arrested on a charge of false reporting or informing; released on $1,000 bond.
