    1800 block of Churchill Road: Police responded at 12:57 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a man being battered, resulting in visible facial injuries.
    Criminal mischief
    Province Park, 300 Branigin Blvd.: Police responded at 9:24 a.m. Wednesday to a report of the shelter house having been spray-painted.
    100 block of West South Street: Police responded at 1:02 p.m. Tuesday to a report of vandalism at Greenlawn Cemetery. According to the report, a water spigot had been left running, a mausoleum window was broken, and a plexiglass window was broken.
    Thefts
    Walmart, 2125 N. Morton St.: Police responded at 5:26 p.m. Tuesday to a report of theft by a juvenile.
    Electro-Spec, 3070 R.J. Parkway: Police responded at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday to a report of stolen stainless mesh, stainless frames, 1-inch bar stock and metal fittings valued at $2,000. Entry was gained through a cut in a wire fence.
    Franklin Police Department, 2625 N. Morton St.: Police took a report at the station about a stolen iPhone that was tracked to Franklin Community High School.

    200 block of Academy Street: Police responded at 2:08 a.m. Thursday to a report of battery.
    First block of Crestview Drive: Police responded at 1:52 p.m. Wednesday to a report of someone being shoved by a juvenile.
    Thefts
    900 block of Coventry Court: Police responded at 11 p.m. Wednesday to a report of theft.
    Kohl’s, 550 Fry Road: Police responded at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday to a report of theft. A man was arrested.
    1300 block of Blue Heron Lane: Police responded at 5:36 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a stolen GPS taken from a vehicle.
    400 block of Southgate Drive: Police responded at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a purse taken from an unlocked vehicle. A bank card was used without       authorization.
    400 block of Southgate Drive: Police responded at 7:01 a.m. Wednesday to a report of tools being stolen from an unlocked truck.

    300 block of Hazy Lane: Police responded at 8:02 a.m. Wednesday to a report of sunglasses and cellphone power cords being taken from vehicles.
    Thefts
    100 block of East County Road 775S: Police responded at 5:29 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a stolen computer.
    4800 block of East County Road 250S: Police responded at 11:16 a.m. Wednesday to a report of several items taken from an unlocked barn.

    Joshua Michael Taylor, 18, 202 Academy St., Apt. 3, Greenwood; arrested on charges of theft or receiving stolen property and parole violation; held without bond.
    Joseph W. Pipkin, 27, 4404 Nerna St., Edinburgh; arrested on a charge of probation revocation; held on $4,000 bond.
