• 600 block of Johnson Avenue: Police responded at 12:40 p.m. Monday to a report of graffiti.

• Payne Park, 305 N. Water St.: Police responded at 12:11 p.m. Monday to a report of graffiti.

• Franklin library, 401 S. State St.: Police responded at 8:27 p.m. Monday to a report of a stolen purse.

• First block of South Crowell Street: Police responded at 1:36 p.m. Monday to a report of a theft of a laptop computer, flat screen TV and DVD player.

• Property-damage accidents

• 9:16 p.m. Monday — U.S. 31 and Banta Street: Elbert L. Spaw, 61, Franklin, reported an abrasion of a shoulder or upper arm.

• Criminal mischief

• 400 block of North Valley Lane: Police responded at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday to a report of crude drawings made on a driveway.

• Fraud

• MainSource Bank, 1263 N. State Road 135: Police responded at 1:59 p.m. Monday to a report of fraudulent use and possession of a stolen Indiana driver’s license and account number.

• Thefts

• 400 block of North Smart Street: Police responded at 11:29 p.m. Monday to a report of theft from a motor vehicle.

• Walmart, 1133 N. Emerson Ave.:

• Police responded at 8:34 p.m. Monday to a report of shoplifting. Katina M. Garmany was arrested on a charge of theft.

• 800 block of Sylvan Street: Police responded at 8:32 p.m. Monday to a report of a lost or stolen iPod.

• A-Trains, 180 W. Main St.: Police responded at 3:49 p.m. Monday to a report of theft.

• Macy’s, 1251 N. U.S. 31: Police responded at 2:15 p.m. Monday to a report of theft.

• 2500 block of Harvest Moon Drive: Police responded at 7:02 a.m. Monday to a report of theft from a vehicle.

• Battery

• Sheriff’s office, 1091 Hospital Road, Franklin: Police took a report at 3:47 p.m. Monday of a battery between two men that occurred the night before.

• Burglary

• 1300 block of S. Nineveh Road, Franklin: Police responded at 11:30 a.m. Monday to a report of a home that was broken into through a window and a set of silverware, several knives and a jewelry were stolen.

• Thefts

• 4400 block of Willow Wind Court, Greenwood: Police responded at 12:09 p.m. Monday to a report of a handgun taken from a residence.

• The following people recently were arrested and booked into the Johnson County jail:

• Paul Scott Rogers, 22, 1632 Cruft St., Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of driving while suspended with a prior conviction; released on $2,000 bond.

• Darryl Craig Willaman, 49, 437 Roe Road, Greenville, S.C.; arrested on an out-of-state warrant; held without bond.

• Patricia C. Overton, 41, 4735 Brookville Road, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of driving while suspended with a prior conviction; held on $1,000 bond.

• Gwendolyn Dawn McTarsney, 40, 8145 N. Sunset Court, Columbus; arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court; held without bond.

• Amber Shanice Hurt, 24, 188 Lovers Lane, Room 257, Franklin; arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court; held on $300 bond.

• Andrea J. Harden, 32, 4101 Arlington Road, Bloomington; arrested on charges of restricted use of a drug injection device, trafficking with an inmate, visiting a common nuisance, dealing in schedule I, II or III controlled substances, possession of cocaine, narcotics or methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia; held without bond.
