Sheriff’s office, 1091 Hospital Road: Police received a report at 4:48 p.m. Monday of a man grabbing a woman’s neck during a fight.
Criminal mischief
300 block of North Water Street, Payne Park: Police responded at 9:01 p.m. Monday to a report of fresh graffiti on a picnic bench.
Thefts
700 block of Johnson Avenue: Police responded at 3:13 a.m. Tuesday to a report of theft from a residence. Residents returned to their home to find a door standing open and a light on. DVDs and a cellphone were taken.
2800 block of U.S. 31 North: Police responded at 1:23 p.m. Monday to a report of two stolen flashing yellow lights and poles that were taken from the Franklin street department, valued at almost $1,000.
800 block of Graham Street: Police responded at 11:56 a.m. Monday to a report of former tenants stealing a stove and microwave from a rental property.
