Police/fire

• Franklin

• Battery

• 600 block of Johnson Avenue: Police responded at 11:33 p.m. Monday to a report of a man being struck on the head. Police took pictures of the victim’s injuries. A man was arrested.

• Burglary

• 1000 block of West Jefferson Street: Police responded at 11:18 p.m. Monday to a report of a burglarized apartment. A PlayStation was stolen.

• Disorderly conduct

• 500 block of Duane Street: Police responded at 11:57 p.m. Monday to a report of a woman being touched inappropriately by a man. The man was questioned by police, and the report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

• Thefts

• Walmart, 2125 N. Morton St.: Police responded at 11:42 a.m. Monday to a report of a fleeing shoplifter.

• 2800 block of U.S. 31 North: Police received a report at 10:35 p.m. Monday of an iPad taken from a vehicle.

• 500 block of West Smith Valley Road: Police responded at 10:31 p.m. Sunday to a report of battery.

• Burglary

• 900 block of Parliament Place: Police responded at 6:20 p.m. Sunday to a report of burglary.

• 600 block of Carol Drive: Police responded at 3:04 p.m. Sunday to a report of a spray-painted car.

• Thefts

• Office Depot, 1276 U.S. 31 North: Police responded at 5:38 p.m. Monday to a report of theft.

• First block of Water Street: Police responded at 4:49 p.m. Monday to a report of theft.

• 100 block of South Smock Drive: Police responded at 3:50 p.m. Monday to a report of theft.

• Kohl’s, 550 Fry Road: A woman was arrested on charges of theft and possession of narcotics.

• 200 block of Village Lane: Police responded at 2:36 p.m. Monday to a report of stolen cash and a debit card.

• 1200 block of Cottages Way: Police responded at 12:58 p.m. Monday to a report of houses under construction being broken into.

• 1000 block of Westminster Row: Police responded at 8:49 a.m. Monday to a report of theft of a temporary license plate.

• 700 block of Blackbird Lane: Police responded at 8:35 a.m. Monday to a report of theft.

• 3000 block of Meridian Meadows Road: Police responded at 9:37 p.m. Sunday to a report of theft from an unlocked garage. Stolen were an Xbox 360, two controllers, a headset and six video games.

• Kohl’s, 550 Fry Road: Police responded at 4:13 p.m. Sunday to a report of two juvenile shoplifters.

• 3:13 p.m. Saturday — State Road 135 and Smith Valley Road

• 12:05 p.m. Saturday — Smith Valley Road and Crimson Way

• 9:15 p.m. Friday — County Line Road and State Road 135

• Attempted crime

• 3900 block of Chelsea Terrace: Police responded at 9:12 a.m. Monday to a report of a ransacked vehicle that was left unlocked. Nothing was taken.

• Burglary

• 300 block of Leaning Tree Road: Police responded at 1:21 p.m. Monday to a report of a missing bracelet valued at $7,000.

• The following people recently were arrested and booked into the Johnson County jail:

• Dustin Robert King, 28, 5220 Bahia Drive, Indianapolis; arrested on a Marion County warrant; held without bond.

• Burkley Francis McCarthy, 50, 120 Walnut St., Apt. E, Evansville; arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court; released on $10,000 bond.

• Joshua Andrew Traut, 28, 3135 S. Keystone Ave., Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of driving while suspended and on two out-of-county warrants; held without bond.

• Crystal L. Gibson, 36, 841 Riverside Drive, Greenwood; arrested on charges of theft or receiving stolen property and possession of cocaine, narcotics or methamphetamine; held on $6,000 bond.

• Christina K. Porter, 35, 3525 Remington Drive, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of violation of community corrections; held without bond.

• Thomas Burton, 23, 1725 Kelly St., Indianapolis; arrested on an out-of-county warrant; held without bond.

• Kathryn J. Hercamp, 25, 4065 N. Clay Lick Road, Nashville; arrested on a charge of theft or receiving stolen property; held on $3,000 bond.

• Trena LeeAnn Ellis, 35, 1710 S. Meridian St., Greenwood; arrested on a charge of public intoxication; held on $1,000 bond.

• Nicolas Hernandez, 29, 605 S. Pleasant St., Apt. 1, Edinburgh; arrested on a charge of driving without ever receiving a license; held on $2,000 bond.

• Jimmy E. Hendricks, 18, 1506 Douglas Drive, Franklin; arrested on a charge of battery; held on $1,000 bond.

• Andrew Paul Hillock, 31, 472 Clearwater Blvd., Whiteland; arrested on a charge of public intoxication; held on $1,000 bond.

• Ashley Marie Dalton, 20, 6653 Creekbay Drive, Apt. C, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of possession, consumption or transportation of alcohol by a minor; held on $2,000 bond.

• Dustin K. Masters, 20, 2627 Santera Court, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of possession, consumption or transportation of alcohol by a minor; held on $1,000 bond.

• Angela Kay Mullins, 49, 158 Church Drive, Owingsville, Ky.; arrested on an out-of-county warrant; held without bond.
