Scott H. Hogan
Scott H. Hogan, 88, a lifelong resident of Johnson County, died Monday, June 18, 2012, in Franklin. He was a longtime resident of Trafalgar.
He was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Nineveh. He was the son of John and Zola (Smith) Hogan.
He married Wilma Ruth Cecil on July 17, 1943. She lovingly survives at their residence in Trafalgar.
Other survivors include three sons, Steve Hogan, Cecil Hogan and Kenny (Anne) Hogan; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a niece, Nancy Jo (Jeff) Mosburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Kenneth H. Hogan and Oris E. Hogan.
Scott attended school in Nineveh.
He was employed at Arvin Industries for two years and Camp Atterbury for two years. He worked at Beech Grove Railroad for 38 years as regional stock manager, retiring at age 60.
Scott and his wife, Wilma, enjoyed 12 winters in south Texas. He enjoyed driving and sightseeing, dancing, playing euchre, working crossword puzzles and painting pictures.
He was a former member of Samaria Church and Fair Haven Christian Church.
Don Whetstine will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
