Austin Puckett, 85, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012.
Born Jan. 17, 1927, in Munfordville, Ky., he retired from Farm Bureau Co-op after many years of service.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling and gardening.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Emma (Bacon) Puckett; three children, Pam (Mike) Britt, Carroll (Sheila) Puckett and Wanda Lowry; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; and three siblings, J.C. (Margo) Puckett, Lavon (Ralph) Davison and Lou (Revere) Vincent.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Nettie Puckett; his stepmother, Katherine Puckett, four siblings, Glenual, Franklin and Dewayne Puckett and Margie Lasley; and one grandson.
Local visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at the Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Sego Funeral Home, 114 W. South St. in Munfordville, Ky. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Sego Funeral Home.
He will be laid to rest at Center Point Cemetery in Munfordville.
