Carmela B. (Bramanti) Tringali, 87, of Greenwood, and formerly of Chula Vista, Calif., passed away May 29, 2013, at Franciscan St. Francis Health-Indianapolis.
She was born May 12, 1926, in Augusta, Sicily, to Salvator and
Giuseppina (DiDomenigo) Bramanti.
She married Salvator J. Tringali on March 27, 1948, in Augusta, Sicily; he preceded her in death on May 29, 2003.
She had been a professional seamstress for many years.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church in Greenwood and enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her daughter, Rose (Michael) Wingo of Greenwood, sons Joseph D. Tringali of San Diego and Salvator (Shelley) Tringali of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Salvadore Wingo, Christina Wingo, Constance Poston, Salvator Tringali and Jerry Tringali; five great-grandchildren, Halie Marie Wingo, Noah Ryne Poston, Jonah Matthew Poston, Phoenix Tringali and Hunter Tringali; sister, Angelina Bramanti;’ and brothers, Franco Bramanti and Pietro Bramanti, all of Sicily.
She was preceded by her husband Salvator J. Tringali; and three sisters, Rosetta, Dora and Linda.
The Rev. Kent Patterson will conduct a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. Morton St. (US 31) in Franklin. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until service time
Saturday at the mortuary.
