Kristin Lay, 28, passed away at her residence in Hollywood, Fla., on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
She was born Aug. 16, 1984, in Indianapolis to Michael Lay and Belinda (Lane) Lay.
She is survived by her parents; two siblings, Kelli (Jeff) Herbst and Brent (Lauren) Lay, both of Greenwood; a niece, Molly Lay; a nephew, Cameron Lay; maternal grandparents, Mark and Phyllis Lane of Indianapolis; paternal grandmother, Cecilia Lay of Columbus; and numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in passing by her paternal grandfather, Joseph M. Lay.
Kristin was a 2002 graduate of Center Grove High School, where she excelled in softball and volleyball. She was a 2007 graduate of University of Indianapolis, receiving a bachelor’s degree in communications. She played volleyball at the U of I.
She was employed by West Marine in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., as a marketing assistant.
Kristin had a loving spirit who brought joy and laughter to all.
A celebration of Kristin’s life will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
