Elizabeth Walters Holland, 50, passed peacefully Friday, May 31, 2013, after a long, heroic fight against mitochondrial disease.
She was a resident of Greenwood and is survived by her beloved daughter, Shelby; her mother, Lois W. Walters of Greenwood; siblings, Brent (Terri) Walters of Vero Beach, Fla., Tim (Ann) Walters of Raleigh, North Carolina and Mary Dale Walters of Shiloh, Ill.; partner, Barry White of Indianapolis; BFF Pamela Shively of Kettering, Ohio; and China, her cat companion.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Walters in 2008.
Elizabeth was born in Waynesboro, Virginia, and grew up in Atlanta and Centerville, Ohio. She graduated from Greenwood Community High School in 1980. She worked for many years in administration positions for Skinner and Broadbent and Goodman Jewelers in Indianapolis. She was active in Mount Auburn United Methodist Church.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Auburn United Methodist Church, 3100 W. Stone Crossing Road, Bargersville.
