Werner Brummett, 76, of Greenwood, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in Indianapolis.
Werner was born Feb. 24, 1937, in Pineville, Ky., to Richard and Lucy Slusher Brummett.
He retired in 1995 from BMW Constructors as a project superintendent and journeyman steamfitter and pipe fitter.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge 669 F&AM, the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite and Indianapolis Murat Shrine.
Werner also served as clergy for Community Hospital South.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; children, Martin (Martha), Dennis and Tommy Brummett and Tammy (Randy) Bauer, all of Greenwood; two brothers, Slusher and Jerry (Mabel) Brummett, both of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Shirley (Walter) Ballou of Monrovia, Libby (Robert) Cox of Indianapolis and Brenda (Ron) Davis of Mooresville; four grandchildren, Corey Brummett, Justin Brummett, Shelby Bauer and Samantha Bauer; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; Hobert, Randal, George and Donnie Brummett; and a sister, Ruby Bryant.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Werner will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
