Ruth Jean Tipton Beals, 88, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She is survived by a son, Steven A. Beals of Long Beach, Calif.; three daughters, Conni A. Beals of Greenwood, Janet R. (Joe) Oliver of Franklin and Beverly J. Hamilton of Morgantown; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Florence Smock Tipton; three brothers, David, Richard and Joe Tipton; and a sister, Helen Johnston.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Private family entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of the funeral home.
