Joseph E. Porter, 90, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Dewitt; two daughters, Pricilla Porter and Wanda Jean Vanderpool; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Layton H. and Mabel (Laws) Porter; one brother; and one sister.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
