Nellie Collins, 87, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012. She was a resident of Indianapolis.
Survivors include eight children, Ruth (Willie) Basham, Dewey (Francis), Jack (Sheila), John (Leatha), Mike, Alvin (Sharon), Ray (Shannon) and Anna (Susie) Collins; two brothers, French Duff of Compton, Ky., and James Duff from Naples, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Collins; her parents, James and Ethel Duff; and three sisters, Marie and Millie Collins and Geneva Duff.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Austin.
