Matha Lee Taylor
 

Matha Lee Taylor, 97, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Morning Pointe Health and Living Center in Franklin. She was a resident of Whiteland.

She was born Jan. 19, 1915, in Springfield, Ky., to Ashford and Dora (Carey) Million. She married Stanford Taylor on June 6, 1936. He preceded her in passing.

Survivors include a son, Dr. David Fred (Melissa) Taylor of Whiteland; a daughter, Emily Ann (Dr. Larry) Pringle of Whiteland; three brothers, Bill Million, Gene Million and Charles Million; a sister, Judy Garrison; three grandchildren, Leanne Rapp, Lance Pringle and Michele Boner; six great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in passing by her husband, Stanford Taylor; a granddaughter, Lisa Taylor; three brothers, Ashford Million Jr., Randall Million and Wayne Million; and a sister, Margaret Beasley.

She was a graduate of Hopewell High School class of 1934.

Matha worked for Walker Hatchery in the office until her retirement.

She was a member of Rocklane Christian Church in Greenwood. She was also a member of the Clark Township Home Economics Club.

Matha enjoyed playing cards, reading and traveling.

The Rev. Rob Keaton will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin.

The family is so thankful to the staff at Morning Pointe for their love and caring of Matha that they wish memorial contributions in lieu of flowers be made to the Morning Pointe Activities Fund, 75 Milford Drive, Franklin, IN 46131.
