Walter L. Parker, 78, died Dec. 5, 2012, in New York. He was a resident of Floral Park, N.Y., and a former resident of Indianapolis.
Survivors include five sons, Anthony, Skip (Cheryl) and James E. Parker, and Jim (Pat) and Steve Wise; three daughters, Leanne (Mike) Rickard, Gayle (Steve) Hardesty and Julie (Rob) Spencer; a sister, Sharon Behrman; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson; his wife, Vera Jo Duke; and his parents, Carlton and Elsie (Tally) Parker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
