Vernon Ridener, 77, of Martinsville, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Margie C. (Inabnitt) Ridener; daughter, Tammy Sue (Robert) Miller of Martinsville; two grandsons; four great-granddaughters; three brothers, Clyde, Donnes and Gary Wayne Ridener, all of Martinsville; and four sisters, Doris Jean Simpson, Judy Green and Joyce Ridener, all of Martinsville, and Betty Bowling of Tampa, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Colonel M. and Myrtle (Trett) Ridener; two brothers, Ernest and Homer Ridener; one half-brother, Raymond Ridener; and one sister, Mildred Faye Creech.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center, 110 E. Poston Road, Martinsville. The Rev. Kevin Able will conduct a celebration of life service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, and burial will follow in New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
