Nettie Rose Saladin
 

Nettie Rose Saladin, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012. She was a resident of Franklin and a former longtime resident of Nineveh.

She was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Perks, Ill., the daughter of Elza and Cleta (Kessler) Price. She married Dallas Leroy Saladin on July 11, 1953. They lovingly shared 41 beautiful years of marriage until his passing on July 23, 1994.

Survivors include her children, Cathy Bailey, Darla Rose Saladin and Beth Ann Tuttle, all of Franklin; three grandchildren, Matthew Bailey, Melissa Bailey Teufel and Johnathon Abraham; one great-granddaughter, Arilyn Mae-Rose Bailey, who brought her much joy; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband; and a son-in-law, Darrell Bailey.

She was a homemaker and child care provider for many years. She also worked at Faith Nursing Home in Edinburgh.

Nettie Rose enjoyed attending Journey Church.

She will be fondly remembered, especially this time of year, for her amazing cookies and candies.

She enjoyed her yearly trips to Alabama with her daughter, Darla, to attend the Alabama June Jam. She mostly loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, family and friends.

The Rev. Jim Clayton will conduct a service at 3 p.m. Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.

She was a dedicated participant in Relay for Life since the passing of her husband. She most recently was a member of Angels of Hope, Relay for Life, P.O. Box 269, Fairland, IN 46126.
