James Fredrick Payne, 84, of Indianapolis, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Payne; children, Victor (Kristine Dunn), Vincent, Valerie Smith and Sondra Newman; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Eugene and Fern Brunton Payne; and sister, Martha Janssen.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 2560 Villa Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service Dec. 8 at the church.
