Fairy F. Glenn, 86, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.
Fairy was born Jan. 17, 1926, in Indianapolis to William J. and Silvia Federle. She was the baby of the family after her sisters, Dora and Alberta, and her brother, William.
She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School; and on July 1, 1944, she married Edward C. Glenn.
She retired as head cashier from Marsh Foodliner, where she had worked for 30 years.
Fairy loved to bowl and enjoyed ballroom dancing, which she did for many years. She then took up square dancing and traveled widely to dance, including New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, on Jan. 10, 1981; her grandson, Timothy Rieman; a sister, Dora; and a brother, William.
Fairy is survived by her children, Judith (Stephen) Rieman, Michael (Linda) Glenn and Mary (James) O’Dell; a sister, Alberta LaFeber; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Road, Indianapolis, where Fairy was a member. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St., Indianapolis, where morning prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday prior to Mass. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Indianapolis.
