Melvin M. Tower, 94, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Rosegate Nursing Home in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Tower; a son, Dr. Marcus Earl Tower; three stepsons, Samuel E. (Tammy), Robert L. (Jackie) and David (Jody) Taylor; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Margaret Tower.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chambersville Cemetery near Spencer.
