Logan Michael Scroggins, 22, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012.

Born April 18, 1990, in Greenfield, he was the son of Scott Scroggins and Kelly (Walls) Copeland.

Logan graduated from Franklin Central High School in 2008 and also attended Central Nine Career Center for Indiana EMT and Firefighter I/II certification.

He was a 2012 graduate of Community Health Network paramedic program.

Logan worked for the Greenwood Fire Department as a firefighter and paramedic. He was an outdoorsman who loved kids and was the strong, silent type. He was family-oriented and goodhearted and loved to play practical jokes.

Surviving him are his parents, Kelly Copeland of Indianapolis and Scott (Cori) Scroggins of Greenfield; siblings, Courtney Piland, Carli Copeland, and Emma and Luke Scroggins; grandparents, Ralph Scroggins of Greenfield, Connie Cole of Greenfield, Keith and Brenda Harrison of Bedford, and Diana Walls of Indianapolis; girlfriend, Savana Scott of Indianapolis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Kylee Scroggins.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 U.S. 40 West, Greenfield. The Revs. Danny Curry and Bob Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
