Kathryn J. Charles, 72, of Franklin, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
She was born Jan. 12, 1940, in Greensburg to Claude F. Owens and Edith (Sparks) Owens. She married Robert Charles on Dec. 26, 1965, in Lovely, Ky. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Franklin, where she was involved in the ministry of Bible truth. She was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall and her family.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Charles of Franklin; three children, Darren R. Charles (Jennie) of Bargersville, Kendra Turientine (Carl) of Franklin and Shawn Charles (Lisa) of Summit, N.J.; a brother, Robert Owens (Becky) of Waverly, Ohio; three sisters, Patty Miller (Don) of Columbus, Ohio, Karen Avramidis (Stan) of Naples, Fla., and Sandy Stewart (Jim) of Silver City, N.M.; and two grandchildren, Kora Turientine and Kyra Turientine.
Minister Perry Newlon will conduct a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2508 N. Morton St., Franklin, where friends may call from 2 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at the family cemetery in Greensburg.
Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Franklin is handling arrangements.
