Gwendolyn “Gwen” A. Backmeyer, 95, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012. She was a resident of Indianapolis.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Jan) Backmeyer of Greenwood; one granddaughter; one great-grandson and seven siblings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Backmeyer and four siblings.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
