Sue Lavalli of The Villages, Fla., and Thomas Krukemeier of Trafalgar announce the engagement of their daughter, Kate Marie Krukemeier of Franklin, to Justin Alan Small of North Salem, son of John and Kimberly Small of North Salem.
Miss Krukemeier graduated from Indian Creek High School in 2003 and from Franklin College in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in English. She is a probation officer at the Johnson County Juvenile Probation Department.
The future groom graduated from South Montgomery High School in 2006 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2006 to 2011. He works at Small Farms in North Salem.
The wedding is set for Jan. 5 at Valle Vista Country Club in Greenwood.
