Raymond and Sandy Hodson of Franklin announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon N. Maines of Columbus, to Benjamin L. Beatty of Columbus, son of Janet Beatty and Richard Beatty of Seymour.
Miss Maines attended Franklin Community High School and Ivy Tech Community College.
The future groom graduated from Seymour High School in 1999 and Indiana University. He owns and operates Southside Golf and Repair.
The wedding is set for Oct. 19 at Salt Creek Golf Retreat in Nashville.
