Ed and Angie Whitaker of North Vernon announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Whitaker of Greenwood, to Brett Weaver of Greenwood, son of Susy Ferrand of Greenwood and Eric Weaver of Morgantown.
Miss Whitaker is a 2003 graduate of Jennings County High School and 2009 graduate of Butler University. She works at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis as a pharmacist.
The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Center Grove High School and was in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2000 until 2005. He is a patrol officer for Greenwood Police Department.
The wedding is set for Sept. 22 in Columbus.
