Gerald and Venus Lindsey of Franklin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Dayton, Ohio, with their family.
Mr. Lindsey and his wife, the former Venus Lydia Marrero, were married Aug. 5, 1961, at Fort Monmouth, N.J.
He retired in 1998 from the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
She is a retired registered nurse.
They have three children, Gary Lindsey of Cincinnati, Tony Lindsey of Middletown, Ohio, and Lynda Weide of Beavercreek, Ohio; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
